Good idea, we're proud to have such a web, but it is a must to update all the data, contents, photos... i have 2 ideas : 1- why you don't add a short description for each photo (exact place & date when it was taken...) 2,add a detailed Map for hazmieh and why not an interactive map ? where you can find on it pharmacies, Groceries , churches, restautants ...
we are proud to live in hazmieh ... verry good work ..... hope to see more pictures...and a forum to chat with hazmieh comunity will be a good idea i think ......
hope to see the municipality online:)
Hope to see more about my place,as i see the pictures on the web...all these buildings especially mar Takla and zhayma...we used to hunt in these places..anyway thank you for this site i feel back home.
I think the idea is great but you can't stop there. The site needs to be updated and emails should be responded to. The only way this site can grow if it is managed more responsibly. But on the other hand, good job on at least getting the name of "Hazmieh" out there. I would like to see more pictures posted, i.e. Carmel, Elias Saade Castle "previously known as Castle Assaf", Dar-El siad, etc..
Keep up the good work and God bless.

I'm finally visiting my birth place this august 2003 and can't believe it. It's a long life time dream. I also could't
believe that there is a web site for Hazmieh. Shamefully, I did't know how to spell it till by chance I saw it as I was searching for Beirut. Thanks for this web site it will now be at the top of my favourites. Best wishes to all lebanese around the world and if you're from Hazmieh or anywhere in Lebanon, I would love to hear from you.
Yes I have comments, this website and its contain should be maintained and updated frequently .. the Restaurant list is disastrous ... le faucon d'or closed since ages, and many others ...
By total and unexpected coincidence...surfing the web!

I was born and raised in my beloved town of Hazmieh where we flew handmade kites, played ghammida, seven tiles, naba, and rode our bikes all over town back when Hazmieh wasn't as populated.as kids,we would go hiking to Anater zbeidi for a swim, where we would also buy freshly picked oranges and other citrus from the neat groves that radiated so much fragrant citrus smell almost all year around(it's all concrete now).i remember our nice grocer Louis D3aibis when he would deliver fresh baguette every morning before we head to school.i remember when we would wait for the girl's school buses in order to impress them with our new school outfits and give them the innocent "doux yeux" look.my close childhood friends were many, like handsome Charbel and Elie Kodaissi,George Mhanna,Fadi Farra, vatche, kimi and hoppie...good old days are maybe gone but the memories will always be with us!after twenty five long years in the USA,i still love and eager to return to hazmieh to visit and remember an unforgetable past.
love to all,

Keep it UP guys let them see what we can do..... adding a photo gallery wont be a bad idea like luis from france he wanted to add some photos to hazmiyeh .com
Cool website I think u just need more cooperation with Hazmieh stores so that it be a Real Search Engine and a useful one.... Like putting all the special offers and discounts online...
Moreover, adding some pictures of Hazmieh wont be a bad idea
